ABOUT THE FACILITY:
The First Tee of Greater Richmond at Elson Redmond Memorial Driving Range is a state-of-the-art golf practice and play destination conveniently located in the City of Richmond. The facility was honored to be the 100th First Tee Site developed by the National First Tee Organization. Former President George Bush Sr. and PGA Tour Commissioner Tim Finchem were among the speakers at the grand re-opening held in May 2003.
The facility features a large grass practice tee for ALL SEASON practice as well as a heated and covered practice area for a more private experience as well as comfort from the elements. The range is 300 yards deep with four target greens to give golfers a realistic golf setting in which to practice. Adding to the practice opportunities are putting and chipping greens as well as a practice bunker.
One of the most unique aspects of The First Tee of Greater Richmond at Elson Redmond Memorial Driving Rangeis its six-hole par three holes, named the Links and the Mini-Links. The courses were designed by renowned architect Lester George, designer of many local courses such as The First Tee of Chesterfield as well as the nationally ranked Kinlock Golf Club in Manakin-Sabot, VA. The First Tee of Richmond has a full service clubhouse that includes a Golf Shop, snack bar with grill, and comfortable eating facilities.
